Old Friends

I wasn't sure about this Facebook thing, but you know what? Today, I connected with my childhood friends. Perhaps this doesn't sound like such a big deal but when you've moved as much as I have, lived in places for a few years, forged friendships and then had to move on...and you haven't grown up in the same place, with that comfortable sense of belonging that most people who have grown up the in the same or nearby place have, it's an incredible feeling to REALLY reconnect with people that have been important to you.

It sort of feels like like my life hasn't been so much of a dream, so much as an actual journey. And, I belong.
